We freaking had a six hour plane ride that was really supposed to be three hours. Pretty much every delay that could have happen did. When we landed in Chicago the runway was like 5:00 traffic in L.A. with planes lined up waiting to dock.
This is the view from our hotel room. We stayed at the Swissotel off Wacker street. Our room was on the 38th floor.
This was probably the best meal we had the entire trip. Yep, those are waffle fries made like nachos. They were heavenly. I promise I would fly back in a heart beat just to order these again.
A trip to Chicago wouldn't be complete without deep dish pizza. It was a toss up on which one we were going to try so we ventured to Lou's. It was tip top!
We went on an architecture tour. It was amazing to learn about all of the history of the buildings and the city. I highly recommend it.
Nicole's graduation was so fabulous. We are so proud of her and her accomplishments.
To celebrate we dined at the Signature Room on the 96th floor of the John Hancock building.
Oh I cannot say enough good things about this trip! So please feel free to ignore the itinerary and novel below, but I just have to spill.
We went to Chicago to go see my sister-in-law, Nicole, graduate from grad school and who knew that we were going to leave our hearts in Chicago. The funny thing was Wes didn't even want to go to Chicago he would have rather went on a tropical vacation, but he could have stayed another month if I would have let him.
There was yummy food, lots of walking, tons of exploring. The adventures are endless...
