Vegas

For my 26th birthday (I know I am getting old!) I decided I wanted a little vacation to Vegas and to see a show, so that's what we did. We got up early Thursday morning, made a quick stop to Einstein's and we hit the road. Thursday night we stayed on Old Fremont Street at the Golden Nugget. What an adventure that was...

Once we got checked in we headed straight for the pool which surrounds an enormous fish tank that has a water slide running through it. I am not making this stuff up. See for yourself:

Yes those are sharks! Crazy huh?! That night we went to a fish n' chips kind of joint for dinner on Fremont Street called Mickie Finns to listen to some live music, then we did a little gambling, and then this was the highlight of the night...

Wes wanted me to take a picture with one of the many crazies on Fremont Street and this handsome devil was the lucky winner. No I am not really grabbing his buttocks, but I am still laughing just looking at this picture.

This is Wes's shark face

The next morning we got up and went to the Hash House for breakfast at the Plaza. We shared their Eggs Benedict. It was so yummy!

After breakfast we checked into the Hard Rock Hotel. I promise it ruined us for life. I don't know if we will be able to stay anywhere else, but the Hard Rock. We stayed in their HRH Suite Tower we had exclusive access to their club and the pool.

This is us laying out at Breathe (they relaxing pool vs party central). It was so nice to get some sun and catch up on some reading.

This is our room at the Hard Rock. I can't get over how nice it was.

Part of my present from Wes for my birthday was tickets to Zumanity. What an incredible show. It was naughty, but a ton of fun that is all I am going to say about that!

As you can see we had a fabulous much needed getaway. I could not ask for a better birthday.

Elantra

This is the newest additional to our family. My poor Acura started to have transmission problems so we were forced to get a new car so we thought well let's go big or go home. We got a 2013 Hyundai Elantra. It has all of the bells and whistles that I wanted: leather seats, sunroof, and an ipod cable. I actually don't mind driving now! ;)
