Memorial Weekend Bike Ride

Every weekend Wes and I decide to go for a bike ride the weather is crap. We finally caught a break this weekend. On Sunday we decided this is how we were going to spend our day and go wherever the road took us. 33 miles later we were sunburned and wore out, but boy did we have fun adventure. It's amazing where your legs can take you.

R Nine T

Bye bye Street "Bob", welcome R Nine T.  This is the newest addition to our family. Have you ever been in one of those situations where you just know you need to buy something on the spot? That was the case with this bike. The R Nine T was created to celebrate the 90th anniversary of BMW Motorrad. There was only a select few of these built for the year and we were lucky enough to snatch up one of the last ones in Utah. The R Nine T is being built in Berlin, Germany as we speak. It should be here in the next two months. We are so excited for the adventures to be had on this bike!

Happy 28th

Who knew that turning 28 could be so special. This year my birthday really made me stop and think about all of the special people in my life and how much I appreciate what each and every one of my friends and family bring to my life.

BIRTHDAY FESTIVITIES

WORK ~ The day started off at work. My darling team decorated my desk and got yummy bagels to celebrate my birthday. Then every hour on the 28th minute they gave me a surprise. I got everything from a coffee in the morning to lotion to yummy treats, but my most favorite prize was a mug full of nice things they all had to say about me. That was the best gift I could have asked for from them!

WES ~ For weeks Wes has been telling me I am getting a lawn mower for my birthday and we are having mac n cheese for dinner, of course didn't believe this nonsense for a second. Darling Wes surprised me with a gift card to Nordstroms to buy my favorite designer shoes, Vince Camuto. During lunch we went over to Nordies to pick out the perfect pair of shoes. I felt like Pretty Woman without the whole hooker thing. After all of the fuss of me needing a pair of Camuto's I fell in love with some Steve Madden's I couldn't live without. I couldn't resist spending the rest of my gift card at the MAC counter, oops! (wink) While we were out shopping sneaky Wes had flowers delivered to work. They were so beautiful and such a nice surprise.

That night for dinner we dined at Valter's. It is one of the best fine dining restaurants I have ever been to. Valter, the owner, practically just walked off the boat from Italy. He is the cutest guy. He walks around the restaurant talking and engaging with everyone. The restaurant reminded me of something out of New York or San Francisco. Wes and I shared the lasagna and a sausage dish that was to die for. We were so full after dinner I thought they were going to have to roll us out of there. Oh and I forgot to mention they have this oil there to dip your bread in that you could drink with a straw it is that good!!! Such a fun dining experience, can't wait to go back!

GIRLS DAY ~ Friday my mom and I took the day off to have girl time. We could not have asked for a more beautiful day. Our day was full of shopping, pedicures, and girl talk. We dined at this trendy restaurant called Twigs. It was so good and had such a fun atmosphere. I can't wait to go back!

TACO PARTY ~ Saturday we had the Gould Clan over for tacos. We laughed and giggled and told tales of things we used to do as kids our parents never knew about. John and Em got me a gift card to Nordies. So you know what that means... more shopping... WOOHOO!

SUNDAY BRUNCH ~ Sunday we met the Barkell's for brunch at the Cliff House. The morning was filled with yumminess and great company. I got spoiled with a gift card for a mani/pedi. Can't wait to enjoy some more pampering.

Thank you everyone who made this such a special birthday!!!! It was one for the records!

Party Patio Pre-Run

For the last year all Wes and I have looked forward to is having a patio for us to BBQ and relax on. After all this time we finally got to sit out back and do just that. We bought a cheap little bistro set from Walmart, turned the John Mayer station on Pandora and just enjoyed each others company. I just wanted to take it all in and enjoy that moment forever. I can't wait to have many more of those moments  in our backyard and have friends over to share it with us!
