Yuba Lake

Wes and I love spending time on the water so we thought what better way to camp than to be near a lake and be able to ride our 4-wheeler all in the same place. There were so many events that cannot go unexplained:
  • The flotation device you see Wes holding was a Walmart special. The name of the floaty was called Stay Dry Flotation. I must say this is a perfect example of false advertising. Wes couldn't even get his to stay afloat. The minute he tried to lay on it, it immediately sunk to the bottom of the lake! Mine on the other hand sunk wherever I sat. Needless to say we were never dry or could enjoy a relaxing layout on the lake.
  • Then we took the Raptor out for a spin through the hills. We made it to the other side of the lake to indulge in an ice cream cone. While we were hanging out Wes noticed the coolant was empty on the 4-wheeler and the place we stopped at had none to offer. We were about a 20 minute ride from our campsite where the was extra coolant. So while, we tried to figure out solutions to this problem, the lady who owned the shop offered to let us take her car back to our camp to get the coolant. It was the nicest gesture and she saved us. Just shows you what good karma can do.
Other than these awesome things the trip was a success. I love spending time together and enjoy our many adventures!
