Craft Night

The last couple of weeks "The Gould Girls" have had craft night. It's been so much fun to have girl time and get our creative juices flowing. Hopefully this is something we can continue doing. If you know of any fun craft ideas please share we are always looking for a new adventure :)

Tradition

Hello there! This past weekend we went to the pumpkin patch and picked out our pumpkins for our traditional pumpkin carving. It was definitely more of an adventure than buying one from the grocery store. My pumpkin carving was of course a disaster, as you can see Jersey slept the whole time, and of course Wes' pumpkin turned out fabulous. The best part about carving pumpkins is baking the pumpkin seeds for me, YUM!

Happy Birthday Lovey Dovey!

It was Wes' birthday over the weekend. The festivities started on Saturday, I took Wes to the Wild Rose by our house for dinner - it is one of our favorites! Then we went to a fun place called the Vudu to relax on the patio. The atmosphere was so relaxing while we sat by the fire.

Sunday morning we went to Einstein's and Starbucks for coffee and bagels. Then I made Wes have a photoshoot at Gardner Village because I wanted some updated pictures of us. I am pretty sure he hated every minute of it, oh the things you do for your wife! Thank you for participating baby doll! Then we went to the mall to walk around and then we met the Barkell Family at Brio for dinner. It was delicious. Then we ended our night with a little Dexter & Homeland.

Happy birthday sweetheart! I hope you had a fabulous day!

Random

These are just some random pictures from the last couple of months.

Wes & Garrett

One week night Wes and I were having a craving for a dessert. So we went over to Harmon's and bought us 2 cupcakes each! YUM! Yes we were being the fat kids that night.

Oktoberfest

Bzzz....

Oh this story makes me laugh every time I think about it. Wes and I were out and about running errands when this bee decided he wanted to hang out on the window wiper of the car. Well for whatever reason it was driving Wes nuts. He was determined to get this bee off of the windshield. So as we are driving Wes is spraying the window washer fluid while the wipers are going back and forth a hundred miles an hour. I was just waiting for us to run into something. So after this dramatic 5 minute episode there is no sign of the bee. So we finish running our errands and no joke about an hour later we get in the car and the bee is back!!! Wes just can't even believe it and I can't stop laughing - at this point it is just hysterical. So, Wes pulls into the nearest gas station to put an end to this bee problem. He put the window washer on the bee and ran him all over the windshield as hard as he could. When he lifted the window washer the bee got up and started walking so Wes and him went round 2 until finally the bee got stuck in the window washer and Wes hurry and threw the washer in the water and left the bee to drown. Poor bee!

One Year Anniversary on the DREAM

Wes and I had a fabulous one year anniversary. We spent the whole week cruising on the Carnival Dream. We flew out Friday morning to Florida. When we arrived at the airport we had a limo waiting to pick us up to take us to our hotel. It was about a 45 minute ride, it was awesome! Once we got all checked into our hotel we walked to the Coco Beach Pier for dinner. We got to experience Alligator bites, they tasted like a softer version of chicken. After dinner we walked around the town where we stumbled on to the Sandbar where we listened to a live band and watched Beer Pong all night.

Saturday we took a shuttle from our hotel to the ship. The ship was amazing. I have never seen anything like it. That first day we just laid out by the pool and roamed the ship. It was such a relaxing day. The people we sat with at dinner were from Minnesota. It was fun to get to know them.

Sunday we arrived in the Bahamas. We had planned an excursion to go on a catamaran ride and snorkeling. I couldn't believe how crystal clear the water was, it was amazing. Snorkeling was fun we saw lots of tropical fish and we even saw a little barracuda. This is also where we met our friends from Virginia. Once we got off the excursion we had about an hour to kill so we went to Senior Frogs. That was a party waiting to happen. :) Once we got back on the ship we rode the water slides for the rest of the day. Dinner that night was our first formal night, it was also our Anniversary. Our waiters brought us a cake and sang "Happy Anniversary".

Monday was a day at sea. I seriously slept the whole day out in the sun and Wes read an entire book! It was definitely a lazy day!

Tuesday morning we arrived at St. Thomas. We met up with our friends from Virginia, caught a taxi, and headed to Megan's bay! It was gorgeous. I have never seen anything like it. We played at the beach all day. Poor Sarah and Val got poked by a sea urchant. The life guard said they have never seen anything like it! That is never a good sign. Then we headed back to the cruise ship where we relaxed until it was dinner time!

Wednesday we were in St. Maarten. This was my most favorite stop. We got up and had breakfast with our friends then we caught a taxi to Maho Beach - airport beach. I can't even describe how beautiful this beach was... you will just have to look at the pictures and get an idea for yourself. :) Right at the end of the beach is the landing strip for the airport. It was crazy - the planes would fly right over us all day. The DANGER sign isn't a joke, when planes would land or take off people would literally have to hold onto the fence so they wouldn't blow away. People who were directly behind the landing strip would have all of their stuff blow into the ocean. It was an adventure that's for sure. Then we had lunch at a restaurant right off the beach. This was our favorite day of the cruise.

The next two days were spent at sea relaxing, reading, sun bathing, and swimming. Saturday we arrived back in Florida where we met our limo driver and he took us to the airport to head home :(

This was a fabulous trip to celebrate a fabulous year of marriage. We met great friends, ate yummy food, relaxed, and spent quality time together. What more could you ask for?

Plan ride home :(
