Merry Christmas!

Christmas morning Wes and I woke up to open gifts. I surprised him with a knife sharpener, a kindle, and his Oakley sunglasses he picked out. Wes gave me a gift certificate to spa and money to go shopping! I am so excited to go buy me some prizes. In the afternoon we went over to Parental Gould's to exchange gifts and do our annual family timed photos. They are so much fun every year. Then we went and met the Barkell's at Ruth's Chris in Park City for dinner. Dinner was so yummy! We could not have asked for a better Christmas. I am so thankful for our fabulous families. We hope you had a Merry Christmas!

My brother, John, turned the big 30 this year. Emilee threw him a surprise birthday party. She had Cafe Rio catered and we ate dinner and had great conversation. I think the surprise was a success. I can't believe how fast time flies by! Happy Birthday Johnny!

Christmas Eve

Our Christmas Eve tradition is to go to Parental Barkell's house to eat dinner, play games, and open gifts. This year they invited my parents to come hang out with us! We had a great time! We played catch phrase... boys against girls.... the boys won! Then we just sat and chit chatted and opened presents. Everyone would be so proud I stayed up until midnight.... I don't think of I have seen that time of day since Wes and I were dating :)

Thursday night we met Matt and Mal for dinner at Blue Lemon and had good conversation then we walked around Temple Square looking at the lights. It was freezing, but it was the perfect night to get into the holiday spirit!

So Mal and I always talk about taking pictures when we are going to dinner, but we always forget! Not this time! We practically had a photo shoot thanks to the owner of the restaurant but this was the only one that turned out. We love doubling with Matt and Mal, it is always guaranteed to be a good time. We could not ask for better friends! 

The Little Things

Yesterday this is what I came home to with a little note from my darling husband telling me how much he missed me and couldn't wait to see me! It was the best surprise EVER! It's the little things that matter most!

Happy Thanksgiving

Why is it holidays and vacations always fly by? This year for Thanksgiving we went to Vegas. We ate until our bellies were full, we shopped until we dropped, and we had the best time doing it all! We could not have asked for better weather, it was mid 60-70 the whole time we were there. Thank you for a fun weekend fam!
